The average total time taken from object detection to making a decision to shutting off the hydraulics takes roughly 140ms. For surprise events, it takes the average human nearly 1.5s (1500ms) to detect and react to the situation. To boot, the average human reaction time to recognize objects is roughly 200ms.

We can stop an incident occurring faster than a human can even recognize a person, let alone if they are in danger or not.

The brains of the operation is completed on the excavator. You could be in the middle of nowhere and the collision avoidance system will still work. Live streaming and automatic updates are available through internet, but not required for the system to work.
