We build the thing we'd want on our own site.
Kondor Devices is a small Alberta engineering team building Sentinel: safety equipment for people who work around machines big enough to kill them.
The problem
Struck-by incidents around heavy equipment keep happening for the same reason: the operator cannot see everything, and a spotter cannot be everywhere. Warnings alone were never going to be enough.
The build
We started with stereo vision, because distance is what separates a real hazard from a false alarm. We put the computing on the machine too, because worksites don't come with reliable internet.
Today
Sentinel runs on equipment across construction, mining and waste management, and the Sentinel Portal turns what it sees into a safety record teams actually use.
